The scoring clubs in your bag deserve more attention than they usually get. Most golfers carry whatever wedges came with their iron set, plus one or two more they picked up off a shelf, all at standard loft and bounce. That's fine, but it leaves a lot of distance gaps and a lot of turf interaction problems on the table.
A proper wedge fitting looks at the lofts you actually need to fill the gap between your pitching wedge and your sand wedge, then matches bounce and grind to the kind of turf you play on. Heavy parkland, links, soft greens, firm greens, sand of varying texture. All of it changes which wedge actually works for you.
What happens in the session
Around an hour, often built into the iron fitting if you book the two together. We measure your current wedge distances and gaps first, then work out what lofts you actually need. Most golfers come away with a slightly different loft setup than they walked in with, often a 50-degree gap wedge instead of a 52, or a 58-degree lob wedge instead of a 56.
Once lofts are decided, we work through bounce and grind options on the major brands. Bounce angle matters more than most golfers realise. Too little bounce on soft turf and the leading edge digs. Too much bounce on firm turf and you'll thin it across the green.

Shafts and grips
Wedges are often hit on shorter, softer swings than full irons, so the shaft choice can differ from your iron set. We can match wedge shafts to your iron shafts for consistency, or go a touch heavier in the wedges if that suits how you use them. Grips are fitted to size and texture preference.
